Serie A - The early stages

SERIE A

Italian football has been struggling to get back its former glory in Europe, and for that to happen someone needs to try and take Juve out of the throne, but the inconsistency that marked the start of the season makes an impression that the Vecchia Signora is, once again, the main contender to the title, with Napoli looking for a stroke of luck to rekindle the Maradona era

JUVENTUS

Allegri has the difficult task of keeping his players focused on the league, in a very similar manner to what happens in France with PSG. The start hasn’t been the greatest, in all fairness, as Juve has already lost their invincibility and the games they won were done in unconvincing fashion. An easier set of games approaches and Juve should put the pedal to the metal in not time.

  SSC NAPOLI

The departure of Higuain has not been felt, as Napoli found one perfect replacement for him in the Polish Arkadiusz Milik. The former Ajax striker has gelled perfectly into Serri’s tactics and the result is the top spot after 4 matches as they are the only invincible team in Italy. It’s still early, but the fans certainly dream of repeating the titles they achieved through their god Maradona.

 AS ROMA

It wasn’t the best of starts for Roma, with the Champions League being an huge factor for disappointment. Spalletti was also unable to win an away game yet, but with the league all scrambled up they still find themselves in 3rd place. The quality is lacking, though, and the Milan teams seem eager to get back to take the positions they are used to hold.

There is no real team showing that is stronger than the rest, with the ones that have been on top
in recent years getting the early momentum. The first surprise happened in the last matchday with Inter Milan getting back into the headlines for good reasons, defeating Super-Juve and showing promises of better times.

Everything is still scrambled up but is good to see Inter close to its normal standings.

Callejón and Milik combined for 75% of Napoli's goals, promising to be a terrorizing duo
