Group B
A very
balanced and tough group, where all the teams are strong and can defeat each
other. England, with their new blood, a perfect qualification, and great confidence
is the favorite but they’ll face Slovakia and Wales, countries with similar
backgrounds, the best generation of players in their history and world class
players – Hamsik and Bale – that can decide any match.
Russia is the outsider, but you can never
count them out with their physical play and experience. It’s an end generation,
before two years of friendlies, so it’s the last chance for some of this
players to shine.
The first
matchday will show us the way this group will take.

England is
the strongest team in the group and with their young generation ready to prove
they deserve to be paid attention to, the Three
Lions will have a big test in the first game with the experienced Russian
side. Slutsky’s team is facing the end of their golden generation and as hosts
of the next World Cup, will look at this competition as good chance to reboot.
Between
Slovakia and Wales, it feels that Hamsik has a more homogenous group to help
him in write history pages for his nation, but both teams will face in the game
knowing that a win will be a massive boost towards qualification
