Group D - The most exciting group in perspective

Group D

It’s not necessarily a group of death, but it’s definitely the sort of group that will require Spaiin to be at their best if they want to confirm their status as defending champions. The sort of group that will show to everyone – including themselves – if the World Cup in Brazil was a blip in the radar or the return to the frustration and fúria that characterized La Roja.
Croatia, Turkey and Czech Republic are all countries with very similar type of football, they don’t do particularly well when they have to play on the defensive, and that is a good matchup for Spain. For the rest of the teams is all about the games between themselves.
This should be a fantastic group to follow, with lots of goals and good football, and if teams don’t go against their own principles, Spain might have a hard time.

FIL’S Prediction

1.       Croatia
2.       Spain
3.       Czech Republic
4.       Turkey

It’s going to be a fantastic group, with four teams that like to have the ball, like to play offensively, and that know that probably just one of them won’t be able to qualify. Spain is the strongest team, but their weaknesses have been more and more exposed, and we predict that they won’t be able to win the group, losing out to a Croatia that will want to make sure they fulfill the potential the players have showed in their respective clubs.
